Postdoc Opportunities

The Majoris Lab is OPEN and recruiting Postdoctoral Fellows.

Ongoing Research

The Majoris Lab studies the early development, ecology, and aquaculture of marine organisms. Some current lab projects involve:
  1. Identifying the underlying genetic mechanisms that generate intraspecific variation in larval dispersal traits.
  2. Using morphological and molecular techniques to identify species level patterns in the spatial distribution of marine fish larvae.
  3. Assessing the ubiquity and adaptive function of parental hatching care and embryo hatching plasticity in cryptobenthic coral reef fishes.
While I do not currently have funding to support a Postdoctoral Fellow, I encourage prospective postdocs to reach out if you are interested in applying for a postdoctoral research fellowship together. I also frequently apply for grants that include postdoc funding so check back often or follow my posts on Twitter/BlueSky.

Get In Touch

If your research interests are aligned with those of the Majoris Lab, then please email Dr. Majoris to discuss fellowship opportunities.

In your email, please address the following prompts:
  1. How are your research interests aligned with the focus of the lab?
  2. What research questions are you interested in pursuing during a postdoc and how can Dr. Majoris' mentorship help you address those questions?
  3. Please provide a brief summary of you academic and research experience.
  4.  Please include a copy of your current CV.
